k-12th grade education

Acting on a vision for communitywide success.

Education is society's backbone and the foundation of dreams. Without a solid foundation, individuals – and business as a whole – have virtually no chance to compete and succeed in today's global marketplace.

We support programs that strive to level the playing field for those who don't have access to the same educational opportunities as others. To help address this inequity, CNL supports education programs that focus on disadvantaged youth in grades K through 12 in communities where it has a presence.

Preference is given to:

  • After-school programs - helping give kids a refuge while reinforcing a positive message of hope during the crucial time of day when school is out and parents are still at work
  • Mentoring/tutoring programs - supporting the support system many children need to build confidence and realize their educational dreams
  • Financial literacy programs - teaching a new generation's children how to become self-sufficient and ultimately contribute to their own communities' successes

CNL-sponsored programs include Restore Orlando and the Rio Grande and Nap Ford Community Schools, charter schools enriching the lives of elementary school-age children in the Orange County, Fla. public school system.
