Career highlights

Genny Hall serves as a Vice President at CNL Commercial Real Estate and has spent more than 8 years in commercial brokerage with a specialty focus on retail project leasing. She co-leads the Central Florida Project Leasing platform with her partner, Christin Jones.

Throughout her career, Genny has completed nearly $75 million of retail leasing transactions, including traditional power and lifestyle shopping centers, ground-up retail developments and specialty mixed-use projects. In addition to working with both regional and local developers, she has also represented a number of large institutional clients such as Simon Property Group, TIAA-CREF, GE Real Estate and Cole Real Estate Investments.

In recent years, Genny has been recognized as a CoStar Power Broker and as one of Real Estate Florida’s Top 30
under 30.

Transaction Experience

EJ Plesko & Associates - Upon securing the leasing assignment for Millenia Crossing, the shopping center had a vacancy rate in excess of 40%. Within 18 months, Genny was able to reduce the vacancy rate to 7% and reposition the center with a number of national tenants, including ZGallerie, Destination Maternity and Ulta Beauty.

Simon Property Group - Serves on team responsible for the 840,738 square foot portfolio that encompasses shopping centers Highland Lakes and Terrace at Florida Mall. Since taking over this assignment, Genny has secured over 40,000 square feet of retail space, which included a deal with the Orange County Public Library System valued at more than $1.4 million.

Ustler Properties - Advised the tenant mix and retail development of Shoppes of Ocoee, a 33,612 square foot retail strip center. Prior to the certificate of occupancy being delivered, Genny achieved a 97% rate of occupancy for the development.

TIAA-CREF - Represented the leasing efforts of four Central Florida retail locations owned by TIAA-CREF: Crossroads at Lake Buena Vista, Plantation Grove and Plaza Venezia I and II. While leasing Plaza Venezia I and II, Genny was able to maintain an occupancy rate of 100% even though the center experienced a 33% rollover rate in just one year.
