Bringing more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience to the team, Tom Goodson serves as a principal of CNL Commercial Real Estate.
Before joining CNL, Tom served as a Managing Director in the Dallas office of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler (HFF). During his tenure with HFF, Tom completed 137 transactions totaling $2.2 billion in value. Tom advised clients in construction and permanent financing as well as equity, mezzanine and sales assignments.
Prior to HFF, Tom served as a vice president and division head at Amresco. Previously, Tom worked in general commercial real estate brokerage at Lincoln Property Company and Preston Carter Company in Dallas.
Over the course of his career, Tom has worked with numerous national real estate principals, including Crow Holdings, Koll Development Company, Ewing Properties, McShane Companies, Farallon Capital Management, Lincoln Property Company, Harwood International, INVESCO, and Morgan Stanley. Capital providers for which Tom has sourced transactions include Societe Generale, Northwestern Mutual, Met Life, Protective Life, Nationwide Life, Cigna, PPM America, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Principal Global Advisors, and Bank of America.
- Led the $10 billion land portfolio group for Amresco and oversaw the disposition of REO assets in excess of $5 billion.
