Jim Wells is a principal of CNL Commercial Real Estate and brings more than 27 years of commercial
real estate experience to the team. Prior to joining CNL Commercial Real Estate,
Jim served as the Global Alliance Director of CB Richard Ellis’ Hewlett Packard (formerly Electronic Data Systems)
account, where he led more than 350 associates and a portfolio of 24 million square feet in over
30 countries. Jim responsibilities included driving occupancy costs in areas such as space
consolidation and reduction, providing industry best practices and building relationships with the
client’s regional leadership team.
Jim served in a variety of roles with Trammell Crow Company. From 1992 to 2001,
he directed all business development and property management
activities for 40+ million square feet of space in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
From 2001 to 2006, Jim was promoted to Managing Director and directed all
corporate real estate services for the Central Region.
Over the course of his career, Jim has worked with a number of notable national
accounts and clients, including EDS, United Healthgroup, Comerica Bank, Ameriprise Financial,
Baxter Healthcare, Volkswagen of America, UBS, Principal Financial Group, Invesco and Crow Holdings.
