Career highlights

Will Adams brings almost 10 years of commercial real estate experience to the team, including investment, lending, finance, services and development.

After graduating from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Will joined the mortgage banking company, GMAC Commercial Mortgage (subsequently Capmark Finance and currently Berkadia Mortgage). Working in one of GMACCM’s highest producing offices, his role included the origination, closing and servicing of commercial real estate loans for Life Companies, CMBS and Agency lenders. During his 4 years with the firm, Will closed over $230 million of loans across all product types and classes. After leaving GMACCM, Will joined Goldman Sachs Commercial Mortgage Capital and worked closely with the NYC Real Estate Investment Banking Division. His role included the origination of CMBS loans as well as all the closing of Goldman’s large loans and real estate investment banking business. He was an integral part of a team that financed over $3 billion of commercial real estate.

Prior to joining CNL in 2010, Will worked with Drexel Realty Partners, a retail development and investment platform. He was responsible for all facets of acquisition and development of retail properties across the United States.

Transaction Experience

  • Facilitated the origination and closing of a $50M mid-rise office tower in suburban Dallas, Texas
  • Instrumental team member in the recapitalization of a $500M regional iconic mall in Phoenix, Arizona
  • Served on a team that provided acquisition financing a 1,400 asset banking portfolio
  • Worked on a $50M urban redevelopment project located adjacent to the Dallas CBD
