It all began in suburban Detroit, when Richard agreed to help his congregation sell
its existing facility. It sounded simple, but Richard quickly discovered that selling
a church was no easy assignment. In fact, the more Richard tried to find a potential
buyer, the more he ran into someone that had another church to sell.
Determined to help these congregations, Richard found his personal faith merging
with his real estate profession, leading to the birth of a new calling. Richard
devoted the following 40 years of his career to helping religious organizations
across the nation with their real estate needs.
Today, Richard’s son, Matthew Messier, follows in his footsteps along with the rest
of the team at CNL Specialty Real Estate Services. With a heritage founded on integrity
and faith, CNL Specialty Real Estate Services is honored to continue Richard’s legacy
and serve as a leading specialty real estate boutique for religious, educational
and non-profit organizations in the United States.
